After this, Kem and Lori crossed the Shannon to stay two nights at Gleann Fia Country House in Killarney.

Ring of Kerry

Next up, they had a full-day excursion on the Iveragh Peninsula – known to most as the “Ring of Kerry“. It is one of the most scenic places in Ireland, with classic views of the Irish countryside next to the stunning blue waters. It gets its name from the 2,000-year-old walls of the Leacanabuaile Ring Fort. These are shrouded in mystery, making for a very interesting tour!

They stayed for a final night at Gleann Fia in Killarney and the next day they headed to Dublin.

Best Places to Visit in Dublin, Ireland

You don’t want to miss these two very lively areas in Dublin: Temple Bar and Grafton Street.

Temple Bar is an actual bar but it also refers to a lively neighborhood in the heart of the city. It is often described as Dublin’s “bohemian quarter”. It is full of great bars and restaurants, and also one of the best places to hear live Irish folk music.

Grafton Street is one of the busiest shopping streets, not only in Dublin but in all of Europe. Both the Temple Bar area and Grafton Street are great places to do a walking tour.
