Hawaii is Still Safe to Visit Despite the Kilauea Volcano Eruption
The Hawaii Tourism Authority insists there is “no reason at this time for travelers to change or alter their leisure or business plans,” despite the recent eruptions from Kilauea volcano. While the volcano is dangerous, (it has destroyed 35 homes to date) it is only a threat for those in the evacuation zone. Hotels remain open, all Kona Airports flights are operating as usual, and businesses and schools have reopened.
