18 Sep Antigua Resort Review: Cocobay vs Keyonna
A huge thanks to our great clients for sharing this review with us! We love getting firsthand feedback like this because it helps bring these resorts to life in a way photos and brochures just can’t. Our clients recently stayed at Keyonna Beach Resort in 2024 and Cocobay Resort in 2025. Both trips were wonderful but very different experiences. Let’s take a look at everything they had to say about each one.
Antigua Resort Review: Cocobay vs Keyonna Beach
Cocobay Resort Antigua
At Cocobay, they stayed in a Premium Pool Suite. The setting was beautiful with colorful cottages, ocean views, and lots of charm. They loved the staff, stating that they were some of the friendliest people they have ever met. The coffee shop and gym were nice touches, and the guided nature walk and Hobie Cat sailing tour were highlights. Meals were tasty and varied at lunch and dinner, and the main bar was a fun spot to relax.
On the downside, the beach wasn’t very welcoming, and the beach pool wasn’t well-maintained. The main pool had gorgeous views but tended to be crowded. Their bathroom was hot and lacked privacy, and storage space in the room was limited. They said Cocobay was perfect for a shorter three to four-night stay, but not where they’d spend a whole week.
Keyonna Beach Resort Antigua
Keyonna, on the other hand, was one of their favorite resorts ever. Their Beachfront Sanctuary Pool Cottage came with a private plunge pool, hammock, cabana, and direct beach access. Everything was ocean-facing and breathtaking. They loved the top-shelf liquor, daily stocked minibar, reusable water bottles, and the outdoor shower. The food was consistently good, with local favorites like jerk chicken and beef patties at the grill, and the whole atmosphere felt calm and romantic.
The only negatives at Keyonna were that the staff didn’t feel quite as warm as Cocobay, and the bar area was small. There’s also no gym or coffee shop, but overall, they would go back for a full week in a heartbeat.
Our takeaway is that Cocobay is fun, social, and full of character – plus the staff is unforgettable – while Keyonna is peaceful, romantic, and made for longer stays. Both have their charm, but for this client, Keyonna came out on top.
