Dreams Macao continues to be one of our top recommendations for families visiting Punta Cana. Opened in 2020, the resort feels fresh, modern, and designed with families of all ages in mind.
What makes Dreams Macao stand out is the amount of activities included for both kids and adults. There is always something to do, while still offering relaxing spaces for parents.
Highlights include:

Excellence Punta Cana is a resort that feels classic, romantic, and peaceful. It offers a more intimate atmosphere compared to some of the larger, busier resorts in Punta Cana.
One of the standout features here is the resort layout and beach experience. Guests looking for privacy and relaxation will appreciate the spacious feel throughout the property.
A few things our team especially noted:
- Four pools total, including two reserved for club-level guests
- Large private beach area for club members
- More secluded and relaxing atmosphere
- Excellent dining and service

The resort is also celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025, which speaks to its long-standing reputation and loyal guest following.
One thing to note: Magna restaurant has a dress code requiring collared shirts and long pants for men. Sandals are allowed, but flip flops are not.
